Our Story
Raised in the heart of a family.
At Main Street Doodles, we believe the very best dogs are raised in the heart of a family.
What began as a love for exceptional dogs became something much more meaningful during one of the hardest seasons of our lives. As our family continues to walk through our son’s battle with cancer, we have experienced firsthand the comfort, joy, and unwavering companionship that dogs bring. They remind us that even during life’s hardest moments, there is still room for hope, laughter, and unconditional love.
This experience has shaped the foundation of Main Street Doodles.
We’re a small, intentional breeding program in Northern Utah, raising Bernedoodles and Cavapoos with an emphasis on health, temperament, structure, and lifelong companionship. Every parent is thoughtfully chosen and health tested, and every litter is raised inside our home—not in kennels—where our puppies are surrounded by everyday family life, children, new experiences, and lots of love.
As parents of six boys, our home is rarely quiet. It’s filled with muddy shoes, ball games, family dinners, laughter, and wagging tails. Our puppies grow up right alongside us, learning confidence, resilience, and the joy of being part of a family from their very first days.
The name Main Street Doodles represents everything we hope our program will be: warm, welcoming, timeless, and rooted in community. Like strolling down a charming Main Street, we want every interaction to feel personal, genuine, and built on trust. We believe in relationships that last well beyond adoption day, and we’re honored to remain a resource and friend to the families who welcome one of our puppies home.
Our goal is to raise exceptional dogs — puppies with beautiful structure, wonderful temperaments, and healthy genetics that will spend years bringing joy, comfort, and companionship to the families who love them.
Thank you for being here, and for trusting us to be part of your story. We can’t wait to help you find your perfect companion.
Beautifully Bred. Lovingly Raised. Timeless Companions.
— Jennifer Wallis, Founder of Main Street Doodles

Good to Know
Frequently asked questions.
Yes. Families may meet us in person at the Salt Lake City airport for puppy pickup. We also offer professional flight nanny services, where a trusted flight nanny delivers your puppy directly to your local airport. We're happy to discuss the best option for your family.
Our puppies go home at approximately eight weeks of age. Prior to going home, each puppy receives a veterinary health check, age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming, and a starter pack to support a smooth transition.
Our waitlist is structured in two phases. Families who have completed an application and placed a deposit receive first priority for puppy selection. Families who have completed an application but have not yet placed a deposit may join our secondary reservation list. Puppy selections are offered in the order deposits are received.
Our puppies are raised in our home as part of our family. They're exposed to normal household activity, daily routines, and constant human interaction. This type of upbringing helps puppies transition more smoothly into their new homes and supports well-adjusted temperaments.
Yes. We intentionally incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation into our puppy-raising program during the first weeks of life. These short, gentle exercises are designed to stimulate neurological development during a critical growth period, and are known to support improved stress tolerance, resilience, and overall confidence later in life.
Yes. Our puppies are raised alongside our children and are handled daily in a supervised, gentle way. Early and consistent exposure to children helps puppies learn appropriate interactions and makes them especially well suited for family homes.
Yes. We begin introducing foundational crate training. Puppies are initially paired together in crates to create a sense of comfort and security. As they grow, we gradually separate them for short periods each day so they become familiar with independent crate time — a gentle approach that helps them feel more comfortable with crates before going home.
Bernedoodles require professional grooming approximately every 6–8 weeks, along with regular brushing at home. While they're low-to-non shedding, their coats are considered higher maintenance. Establishing grooming routines early helps keep coats healthy and comfortable.
Yes. Their affectionate nature, intelligence, and desire to please make Bernedoodles an excellent choice for first-time dog owners. As with any breed, consistent training and structure are important, and we provide ongoing support to our families.
Yes. All of our parent dogs undergo comprehensive genetic health testing through reputable laboratories. We carefully review results and intentionally plan pairings to reduce the risk of inherited conditions. Health testing is a foundational part of our breeding program and supports long-term wellness for our puppies.
Our program primarily focuses on multigenerational Bernedoodles. Multigenerational breeding allows for greater predictability in coat type, size, and temperament compared to first-generation crosses, supporting consistency and reliability for families.
Yes. All of our puppies come with a one-year health guarantee that covers serious genetic conditions. The details of this guarantee are clearly outlined in our puppy contract so families know exactly what to expect.
Yes. We're committed to our puppies and their families for life. We're always available to help with questions related to health, grooming, training, or behavior. Our goal is to build lasting relationships, not just place puppies.
If at any point you're unable to keep your Bernedoodle, the dog must be returned to us or we must be involved in the rehoming process. If a family finds a potential new home, that individual must complete an application and be approved by us before the dog can be placed. This ensures the safety and well-being of every dog we produce.
A Bernedoodle is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Mini or Moyen Poodle. This breed combines the Bernese's loyal, gentle nature with the intelligence and low-shedding coat of the Poodle. Bernedoodles are known for being affectionate, family-oriented companions that adapt well to home life. Our program focuses on producing puppies with stable temperaments, sound structure, and predictable size and coat traits.
Our Bernedoodles are bred from non-shedding parents, and the majority of our puppies are low to non-shedding. While no dog can be guaranteed to be completely hypoallergenic, our multigenerational breeding program greatly improves coat consistency, making our puppies a great option for many families concerned about shedding or allergies.
Most of our Bernedoodles mature between 15–65 pounds. We track birth weights, weekly growth patterns, and parent sizes to provide thoughtful and realistic adult size estimates. Individual genetics always play a role, but our lines allow us to give families a consistent range.
Bernedoodles are known for being affectionate, people-focused, intelligent, and eager to please. Our puppies are raised in a busy family home, which helps them develop confidence, adaptability, and calmness in everyday situations. They love to be with their people and are very loyal — we place a strong emphasis on temperament and emotional stability when planning our pairings.
Absolutely — we welcome scheduled visits to meet the parents and current litter. Just reach out through the contact form to set a time.
